Last post? Who knows!

Well 38 weeks and 2 days down. Just waiting for the little guy to arrive. We know he is ripe and healthy and we are so ready to meet him. If only I could convince my body to move things along. Well I guess even though he is technically ripe every day longer that he is in there is like bonus points and he will be even more beautiful and ready for the world. Just a few more photos for you.

The preggers photo was taken last weekend at 37.5 weeks.

On Sunday Gabriel and I did a plaster of paris cast of my torso to memorialize this crazy event in my life to stare at in awe months from now when pregnancy seems like a distant memory. Gabriel was super cute how into doing this he was. I have spared you the photos of me in my underwear lathered in petroleum jelly and plaster but included Gabriel so very cute in his apron holding the cast at the end of the process.

Also here is one last foxy onesie that I made for Oliver when I was making a bunch of onesies for our friend Alison's fundraiser for a dog rescue group that she volunteers with up in Baltimore.

See you soon little Fox!

Chapel Hill Baby Shower

Thank you a thousand times over to Amanda and Kathryn who organized our Chapel Hill/Medical School baby shower. It was a blast with good food, activities and company. I will spare you the details of more general baby shower photos but I did want to share a really funny photo series that came out of this shower. Amanda and Kathryn had the idea to take photos of everyone at the party doing an encouraging "labor" pose. Amanda is getting the photos printed for us to take to the hospital with us for encouragement and comic relief during labor. The photos ended up being a very endearing record of our friends here and I think they are great. I am including the "nice" pose and the "labor" pose that everyone did. Thanks again everyone!

Outfitting Mr. Oliver

We are getting really close now! 37 weeks and 2 days down and who knows how many left to go. Tired the last few days. Necessary naps but still managing to walk my 2 miles a day and go to prenatal yoga. Feet hurt and often swell at night. I guess it is all par for the course.

We are getting very excited now. Gabriel has been super cute getting all excited. He has been the one with the patience to go through the novel of a manual for installing the car seat and he has been very busy with many little things all over the house.

There has been so much knitting for gifts lately but here are a few of the little things that I have made for little Oliver.

Poolside Calistoga

When I was back in California Analisa and I took a girly spa trip to Indian Springs in Calistoga. Just about the best place ever! Due to living so far away and the fact that I am oh so pregnant, I will be missing Analisa's bridal shower and much of the wedding planning for her. I just hope I can get this baby here in time to still go to the wedding. An amazing time in both of our lives as friends to have one of us get married and one of us have a baby within a few weeks of each other. Shamefully I took very few photos but the ones I did are fun. XOXO to you boo!

Baby Sweater for Eliza Bell

This sweater and booties were made for sweet Eliza Bell who was born at the beginning of this week to good friends of ours up in Celo. This is a rascally baby that showed soooo very many signs that she was going to arrive early and then 3 weeks later showed up almost a week after her due date. Just when you think you think you have things all figured out right?

Sweater took me longer than I thought it would. Beautiful pattern was slow going keeping track. Love that it is knit all in one piece so cleverly as Elizabeth Zimmerman always provides. The booties too were knit all in one piece making for a fun puzzle.

When back in California a month ago my moms threw a wonderful baby shower in the backyard at my dad and Carolyn's house. Friends and family from all sides and pretty good weather for Berkeley. Yummy yummy catering from Ann's Catering. Thanks moms for organizing such a fun event!
